#FreeTiharFromOverCrowding
Join Anupam Tripathi in his campaign #FreeTiharFromOverCrowding for FFAR India.
Over 4000 undertrials are currently languishing in Tihar jail who by law are entitled to Bail but have not been able to get their freedom yet owing to red tape, lack of good and adequate counsel, them being poor, lack of awareness, system failure and lack of empathy of the public and the media for them, even though by law you are innocent until proven guilty. This shows yet another example of the acute inequality in our Country where the rich get bail, while the poor stay locked in jail for years though by law they should be out on bail causing overcrowding in prison among other issues.
FFAR India campaign to #FreeTiharFromOvercrowding is fighting to change this. It shall help release these poor undertrials in the coming months.
