#SaveTheTiger

#SaveTheTiger Only 2500 remain in the wild in India and over all less than 4000 in the world remaining. The villagers (45000 families over all 100,000 of them) live among them in India with their live stalk, goats, sheep's, Buffaloes, hens and children and routinely poison the tiger each time the Tiger causes them inconvenience by posioning either the water body from where the Tiger drinks or by poisoning the carcass of a dead animal nearby. These villagers are killing @300 to 1000 tigers annually in India right under the nose of the Forest Guards, authorities and the Govt. The Govt is happy to collect their votes every 5 years and look the other way. Then there are our Forest Guards, now well equipped to fight the poachers, but interestingly and unfortunately they too have been killing our Tigers by shooting them dead on every instance there is conflict between the villagers and the Tiger, to save the life of the villager in conflict. Their shooting spree is killing anyw...

#StopCullingWildBoarsInTamilNadu

#StopCullingWildBoarsInTamilNadu The overpopulation, urbanization and commercialization in certain districts of Tamil Nadu, has resulted in the rise of conflicts between the farmers and wild boars in and around the forest areas. In order to counter this, the Tamil Nadu Government passed an order (GO) dated 22.06.2017 issuing instructions for killing of wild boars in 11 district forest divisions for a period of 12 months. The lack of guidelines on the issued GO could also be misused by individuals who hunt these helpless animals for the adrenal sports and for their expensive, rich meat. Furthermore, Wild Boars are being mercilessly shot to death or worse electrocuted by the authorities and villagers. The government may underestimate the greatness and...

#FreeTiharFromOverCrowding

Join Anupam Tripathi in his campaign #FreeTiharFromOverCrowding for FFAR India. Over 4000 undertrials are currently languishing in Tihar jail who by law are entitled to Bail but have not been able to get their freedom yet owing to red tape, lack of good and adequate counsel, them being poor, lack of awareness, system failure and lack of empathy of the public and the media for them, even though by law you are innocent until proven guilty. This shows yet another example of the acute inequality in our Country where the rich get bail, while the poor stay locked in jail for years though by law they should be out on bail causing overcrowding in prison among other issues. FFAR India campaign to #FreeTiharFromOvercrowding is fighting to change this. It shall help release these poor undertrials in the coming months. Join the movement. If you wish to join, help, support and to contribute to this great cause of FFAR India, go to the description of the video link below and get details of how ...
